Cationic emulsion asphalt is widely used in the road construction , especially in road maintenance and repairs . Once contacting stones, the cationic emulsion asphalt  will gel quickly, making asphalt firmly adhere to the surface of the stone. Therefore, whether in winter or rainy seasons, it will not affect the construction quality.

But the pure emulsion asphalt is weak in softening temperature and toughness at low temperature , this will lead the road deformation and crack . Emultion asphalt modified by cationic SBR latex can increase the softening temperature, avoid low temperature cracking and enhance the high  temperature stability. So cationic SBR latex is widely used as the modifier of cationic emulsion  asphalt .

Banco’s cationic SBR latex C-01 has high solid content ,its owns stable performance, high softening temperature , good flexibility and toughness at low temperature. The latex frozen in  -15 ℃ can be completely thawed at room temperature, post-thaw latex is still with stable quality . It has been successfully used in a lot of projects.

* To get a good modification effect , the dosage of latex should be not less than 3.5%, lower than the value, it is difficult for SBR to form a net structure in the asphalt, which reduces the effect of modification.
